Can roulette be beaten? Is there actually a system out there you can trust over the long run that won’t strip you of 3, 4, 5,000 bucks? Most – the vast majority – of people would say no. They’d say the only way to beat the game is by cheating/manipulating the actual physics.

Is this true? Yes, mostly. Physics is the only way right now, this minute, that could have any real affect on the outcome of a roulette spin. Don’t lose me here, but who knows what natural abilities might become available to us in the future. For now, though, there is no “holy grail” of strategies or tricks to beating this game. In fact, this game, possibly even more than slots (if that is even possible) allows you the least amount of control over the actual game you’re playing, and thus the final destination of the money you just entrusted to a white spinning ball.

So why do people play? Is it the quick thrill of being able to double your money in a matter of seconds? Is it the thought of playing your “lucky numbers” paying off in spades for you?

It’s a hard question to answer, especially when gamblers must know the facts about the game yet still continue to buck them with their bets. We know more or less for a fact that if you spin the wheel 36 times you’re not going to get 36 different numbers. We also know for a definite fact that any number has the same probability of coming up next.

So what does that mean? It means star poker systems are useless. If every spin resets the odds from the last spin, or 10,000 spins, then by all logic a hard-calculated system has as much likelihood of netting you a profit as randomly picking numbers with your eyes closed. That is an indisputable fact.

Can the gambler overcome this fact? I don’t think so. Not with numerology, not with tracking numbers over the course of time, and not with progression, as I just discussed. It’s either physics or psychic abilities, and only one of those has been proven to exist up to this point.

Sorry, but there’s no magic system. In roulette, of all the casino games, you just gotta be lucky in your predictions.
